It’s really too bad gloves went out of style. They’re such an expressive accessory. The way a woman puts them on or takes them off can be quite fetching. They provide something to hold on to, or something to put up a barrier with. Touching the skin of your hand is very sensual when a garment must be removed to allow it. And here are some quick pointers -

*The shorter the sleeve the longer the glove.
*Your gloves should be on when shaking hands in a reception line or when dancing.
*You may wear your gloves when drinking but it is better to remove them.
*Take off your gloves when you sit down to dinner. Put them back on afterwards.

*Some would say that f you remove your opera gloves (over the elbow), you should not take them off in a way that calls undue or seductive attention to the process. ( I would strongly disagree with this!)

*You can partially remove your opera gloves in this fashion: unbutton the wrist opening and pull your hand out through the opening. The empty glove hand can then be rolled up neatly to wrist level, either tucked under the wrist or under your bracelet.
